English, literature and journalism were my favorite subjects in high school, but I never mastered the art of writing poetry. I feel writing good poetry takes a great deal of skill and Mr. Wilcox has that.I enjoyed every poem in this wonderful collection. I could feel the pathos in verse in many and the pure delight and rejoicing of life in others. My two favorite poems in this collection: Shards and Perceptions.
All who read these poems will understand the broken dreams, isolation and the struggle for survival.
I hope Mr. Wilcox will write and publish more poems in the future. When and if he does, I will be reading them. He is a very talented author and the next book I will be reading by him is Sex, Lies, and the Classroom.
